FLAAR is a non-profit educational organization founded by Nicholas Hellmuth, whose original purpose was the large dimensional photography of ancient art and architecture of Latin America.

With the passing of time, the experience and needs of the organization, FLAAR has increased its activities in the fields of digitization, printing, and image processing. The goal of the FLAAR Digital Imaging Resource Center today, is to become the eminent source of information and training in subjects concerning large dimensional digital representation and printing.
